Research & Evaluation Workspace
AI-augmented, human-led research intelligence
Research findings that stay connected to their evidence.
Heurista helps research and evaluation teams design studies, collect responses, code and analyze qualitative and quantitative evidence, and draft reports without losing the link back to the source.

01 · Design
From mixed-methods research to program evaluation.
Built for mixed methods from the first design decision. Program evaluations, longitudinal surveys, systematic reviews, and rapid field assessments are first-class study designs, not templates bolted onto a survey tool.
How it works
Collection, analysis, and reporting.
AI does the heavy lifting at each stage. You make the judgment calls. The study records both.
Designing instruments and collecting data
Studies are built from structured instruments that can run as forms, chat-style interviews, or voice flows in 95+ study languages. Publish to KoboToolbox or ODK Central when enumerator-led CAPI is the right collection layer, use XLSForm handoff for SurveyCTO and other ODK-compatible tools, or collect directly in Heurista when web-based response modes fit the study. Everything lands in a single study structure, ready for analysis without being moved between tools.
Coding and analysis the researcher directs
Heurista proposes codes against the researcher's codebook and can support screening against review criteria, with uncertain assignments flagged for human review. You accept, edit, or reject each one, with decisions recorded. The same study supports data preparation, reusable segments, respondent-group analysis, common statistical tests, regression, reliability, and validated longitudinal or panel methods.
Reporting with the evidence attached
Report drafts, PRISMA-ready review summaries, and evidence matrices are produced from the analyzed study, so each statement carries a reference to the response, transcript, paper, or document it came from. The evidence matrix exports as a multi-sheet Excel workbook, from source index to coding audit trail, and reports export to Word for review and submission.
From research question to reportable finding

Built from I4DI's research and technology practice.
Heurista comes from the Institute for Development Impact (I4DI), an ISO-certified evaluation, applied research, and technology-for-impact organization founded in 2014. The product carries that practice into software so study design, evidence review, field data, coding, statistics, synthesis, and source trails stay connected.
