Methods stay visible.
Evaluation questions, frameworks, screening decisions, codebooks, statistical outputs, and report claims need a clear record.
Heurista is developed by the Institute for Development Impact: an ISO-certified evaluation, applied research, and technology-for-impact organization founded in 2014.
Why it exists
I4DI teams work across studies, evaluations, evidence reviews, data systems, analysis, and reporting. The recurring problem was practical: the work was often split across documents, spreadsheets, coding tools, review tools, and report drafts.
Heurista is a trade name (DBA) of Development Institute LLC, the legal entity behind I4DI.
Heurista was built to keep that workflow together. Study design, field collection, imported data, literature review, systematic review, qualitative coding, statistics, synthesis, and reporting stay connected to the sources behind them.
Independent evaluation and applied research organization.
ISO 27001 information security and ISO 9001 quality management.
Research, evaluation, and technology-for-impact work across contexts.
Evaluation, MEL, evidence synthesis, data systems, and reporting assignments.
What that means in Heurista
Evaluation questions, frameworks, screening decisions, codebooks, statistical outputs, and report claims need a clear record.
Heurista includes literature review, systematic review support, connector-status checks, screening decisions, exclusion notes, PRISMA-ready outputs, and evidence matrices because review work is often where findings begin.
Researchers can prepare data, define reusable segments, analyze a whole survey or selected respondent groups, and use longitudinal or panel procedures only when the study structure supports them.
AI can help organize, suggest, summarize, and draft, but research teams decide what becomes an accepted code, finding, or report claim.
